Australia has some of the strictest shark harvesting regulations in the world with a government prohibition on the taking of shark unless the carcass is utilised. Australia has a Plan of Action for the Management and Conservation of Sharks which addresses the issue of shark by catch in non target fisheries. Shark meat is highly regarded in Australia where it is commonly sold as "Flake" and is known as a delicious and inexpensive boneless form of marine protein.

Shark Cartilage   Seafresh produces a range of shark cartilage products as a by product of shark fishing operations. We can supply raw dried shark cartilage, shark cartilage milled to a coarse form or fine shark cartilage powder.   Cartilage can be supplied from the head, pectoral, tail or backbone.

Shark Fins   Seafresh can supply shark fins either unprocessed dry, unprocessed frozen, processed dry or processed frozen. A range of species is available subject to fishing seasons.
